PostSubject: Cargo's Blu_Ray High Def Mattifier:   Tue Mar 25, 2008 10:43 pm

Day One:

So far, so good! The colour in the tube is VERY off-putting, but it blends on clear! Just as Moxie said in her review, it does instantly blur pores and gives your skin a refined look. If I hadn't broken out the night before, I could have rocked the primer all on its own! It was my skin, but a hell of a lot better.

I applied my foundation with my angled foundation brush, and then blended it out with my hands - it got a little tough doing it just with the brush. It didn't change my foundation colour at all, and looked even better than usual. Finished up my usual routine with no problems [well, my brows were being dicks, if that counts].

I didn't check my makeup at all when I was out and about. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was nice! I blended out parts that my sunglasses rubbed against, and I looked just as good as I did before. Did I note that this stuff even made my lids totally dry? THAT is a rarity for girls with oily skin. This is a base for foundation and eyeshadow all at once!

So far, Cargo gets an A! The bit about foundation being a wee bit difficult to blend is very, very minor, and I can overlook that. This is $24 of my beau's money well spent!

For tomorrow, I'll go all out and try an eyeshadow over this stuff, and I'll have a hefty amount of FOTD's for you all!

You say the color of the actual product is very off-putting, cause it's like... orangey! But you say it blends on clear!? I'm curious. Cause I was looking at it when I was at Sephora but was confused because I thought there MUST be more shades...?! But I guess not. Ever for someone who's pale like me, would it blend well?? Hmm...

I was so caught off-guard by it! I thought it would be clear, the way its advertised on the site! I was like, "holy shit, ya'll. Moxie betrayed me!" And it like...when you rub it in, its not that strange colour anymore - it just blends in!

It blends REALLY nicely. Do what I did, and test it on the inside of your arm, to be sure. Then put foundation over it, to make sure the shade doesn't change on you. I'm pretty into it so far! Usually I'm greasy after one hour - so far, its been about 4 with no problems. Super miracle!

Okay, after hour 5 or 6, I blot, and everything is back to normal. That means I don't have to blot til lunch time! Not bad! My nose stayed oil free for a damn long while. Usually I have to powder my nose every 30-45 minutes [thats 2-3 times each class period!]. Tomorrow, after I apply foundation, I'll apply a little extra on my nose, to see if it'll last even longer.

Another upside: the tube fits perfectly in my Blondie makeup bag [which needs a hardcore scrubbing]. Super score!

Nooo - I just have a beau that will buy me stuff to get out of the store. ;-;

I was just running around, drooling and testing, and he was all "$16 FOR A PINK GLOSS IS BLASPHEMOUS. Hay wats this? Primer? The hell? Will it help keep you away from a mirror? Sweet, HERE'S $26 I'M GOIN OUTSIDE K BAI"

He was out of there faster than a goddamn energizer bunny.

I'm gonna drag him into stores like that more often...

Day Two:

This turned out to be a lazy day. Beau came over and we basically did nothing [if that's what they call it these days]. But I still wanted to do something nice!

So, I smoothed some primer on, did my brows, did a contour, blush, and mascara.

Now, I didn't use any kind of base makeup besides the primer. And man, was I impressed. No shine, but I still had that "la la from within" kind of glow. Everything looked nice and smooth. Pores looked smaller, and my dark spots were slightly blurred.

Its official - Puffy is in love. This is more than the average primer, friends; and that's why I love it. I can wear it alone and skip the entire foundation step - how rad is that?

Total Puffy Seal of Approval.

Mhm! Along with dumb Louisiana taxes, it came out to $26 something. Jerry looked at the receipt like, "...when the hell did that happen?" We were so confused. XD

I think its worth the price tag, though. My mum did make a noteworthy point when she saw it: "Now wat in the HEYLL. 0.94 OUNCES!? It ain't even a full ounce! They know they can juss giff you the other 6 ounces!"

Despite that, though, you def do NOT need a lot to prime the skin. It'll last a hell of a long while.
